A Memorable Western Vacation
The peace, quiet, and beauty of the Bar M Ranch have become the
ideal setting for romantic weddings. It is also an inviting
retreat used by corporations for meetings and other group
events. What makes the Bar M Ranch truly unique are timeless as
the western traditions that are still embraced at this ultimate
destination for a fun, relaxing and memorable western vacation.
Built in 1864, the Bar M Ranch's history dates back to the Civil
War when it was one of a few stage coach stops along the rugged
road west. The 3,000 acre ranch is nestled within the foothills
of the Blue Mountains, only 30 miles east of Pendleton, Oregon.
Tall pines, fir, and cottonwood trees surround the ranch on the
canyon floor, right next to the Umatilla River making it a great
destination for outdoor adventures.
Natural Beauty & Year-Round Activities
The fresh mountain air, natural hot springs pool, spectacular
scenery, sports and recreational opportunities are enjoyed by
large families and adventurous individuals alike. The many
amenities at the Bar M Ranch make it the perfect year round
vacation spot, and include: hiking, mountain biking, horseback
riding, swimming, fishing, wildlife viewing, game room, a
recreation barn, and off the ranch activities. Children
especially enjoy fishing in the stocked pond, basketball and
volleyball, and a barnyard petting zoo. The best time to visit
for winter fun in the Blue Mountains is in December when you can
ski the slopes or snowmobile at Spout Springs, about 50 miles or
an hours drive. Skiing is also available Bluewood and Anthony
Lakes.

Feel yourself begin to unwind as you cross the suspension bridge
over the river and relax in the large natural mineral hot
springs swimming pool. Tour the beautiful country side along the
banks of the river or up steep on the mountain trails on back of

welcomed back by friendly faces for a home-cooked, family-style
meal. The Bar M Ranch is close to area attractions, yet far
